About Facilitas

Facilitas was started in August 2005 based on some simple logic:

• It's too difficult for people to switch banks;
• If switching banks were easier, the best banks win.

Management Team

Robert Rubin is the founder and CEO of Facilitas. Prior to starting Facilitas, Rob spent eight years at Forrester Research, Inc., most recently as Vice President of Forrester Data. At Forrester, Rob launched several consumer research services to understand how technology influences consumer behavior. He has published many reports on ways to improve marketing efficiency, been a featured speaker at industry events, been quoted by national and trade press, and appeared on TV networks such as ABC and CNN.

Peter Hamlen is the CTO of Facilitas. Previously, Peter was Vice President of Technology at Teach For America where he managed internal application development and IT for the entire organization (including 25 offices across the nation). Peter brings more than 10 years experience as a systems engineer and software architect designing and building high volume processing systems. As Vice-President of Software Development and Chief Architect at Mail.com from 1996 to 2000, Peter led a team that developed a message network that managed more than 20 million mailboxes and delivered over 5 million messages a day.
